Disability Access Services Faculty Training

Oregon State University recognizes diversity as a core value that enhances teaching, scholarship and service as well as the ability to welcome, respect and interact with other people. Providing accommodations is part of this core value, and it is the law, so the Disabilities Access Services and Office of Equity and Inclusion staff designed this training to explain the process and offer expert guidance.

This training provides faculty and staff with information to understand classroom accommodations. The online training connects the campus community to extensive resources to improve communication throughout the accommodations process.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand OSU's guidelines for nondiscrimination on the basis of a disability.
  • Access resources at Disability Access Services.
  • Distinguish between the responsibilities of teaching faculty, DAS and students in the accommodation process.
