This interactive, in-person session offers a foundational overview of the cancer control continuum—from prevention and risk reduction to screening and early detection.

You will explore:

Instructors

Hannah Briggs, MPH, CHW
Hannah is a trusted voice in community health and a leading advocate for Traditional Health Worker development in Eastern Oregon. As the THW Liaison for the Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization (EOCCO), she draws on her background as a Community Health Worker, Peer Wellness Specialist, and Birth Doula  to guide and support others in the field. Her passion for community-centered care and health equity drives her mission to build capacity and connection throughout the region.
Carina Garcia

Carina is a Community Cancer Control Specialist for OHSU's Knight Cancer Institute. Carina supports the collaboration between community members and community-based organizations, researchers, and private or public agencies to address cancer-related needs in rural Northeast Oregon.
