EAST TIMOR

East Timor (Timor Leste) is a 23 year-old country that has risen from the ashes of war, and they have embedded Permaculture into that country more deeply than anywhere he's visited.

• They have already restored 20% of the springs in the nation
  
  
• And they have Permaculture Education taught to every child in school

SUMATRA

In Sumatra Indonesia, one of the biodiversity hot spots of the world, the Orangutan (and other species) are threatened to the brink by Palm Oil monoculture plantations.

But there is a bright ray of hope:

• People are using Permaculture design to bring back the jungle
  
  
• They are creating an economy based on biodiversity and local food production

And the Orangutan is coming back!

This free session is open to anyone interested in sustainability, ecology, and regenerative design.

Andrew Millison is an internationally recognized permaculture designer, educator, and practitioner. With over 25 years of experience, Andrew has consulted on projects ranging from small urban yards to broad-acre farms and community developments.

He has been teaching at Oregon State University since 2009 and is the creator of OSU’s online Permaculture Design Certificate Program, which has trained thousands of students around the globe. Andrew brings both deep ecological knowledge and engaging, practical teaching to every course.
