Rebecca Thistlethwaite is an Extension Outreach Specialist and the Director of the Niche Meat Processor Assistance Network.

She has a master's degree in International Agricultural Development from the University of California - Davis and was formerly co-owner of TLC Ranch, a mid-scale organic pastured poultry and livestock enterprise in California. She is author of two books on farming- Farms With a Future: Creating and Growing a Sustainable Farm Business (2012) and The New Livestock Farmer: The Business of Raising and Selling Ethical Meat (2015) and provides business and marketing consulting for sustainable farms and food businesses.


Matthew Lawrence


Matthew and Jesie Lawrence started Marble City Meats in 2017. After having purchased and run a USDA processing plant in Pell City for 2016, Matthew learned what it takes to create a high quality meat processing business.  In 2018, Matthew and Jesie joined forces with Sandee House of Friday Farms to expand our operations.

Adrienne Larrew knows firsthand what it takes to raise healthy animals and manage the land, and how important it is for people to trust where their food comes from. Corner Post Meats believes that animals can be raised in a way that hurts or helps the planet. They believe that healthy environments can raise better meat.

Brian Brozovic

Brian has his degree from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Meat Science, Food Science. He's been in the beef and meat industry his entire professional career, which has included consulting, beef sales, production and distribution along with years in a butcher shop.
