Along with our college partners, PACE maintains more than 135 recurring non-credit courses/programs. In addition, we launch a diverse array of new projects each year. In FY21, highlights included:

External Partnerships/Projects

  • Data Science for the Public Good | Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, US Department of Agriculture
    As part of a three-state consortium led by University of Virginia researchers, PACE led Extension and Engagement's involvement in developing an online training series featuring project partners. 
  • Growing Gardens
    Through a collaboration with Portland, Oregon-based non-profit Growing Gardens, LLC, and OSU Extension, PACE developed an online School Garden Coordinator Certificate training for K-12 teachers.
  • Iowa State University
    Leveraging the team's entrepreneurial and marketing experience, PACE supported two major projects led by Iowa State University researchers: the Public Science Collaborative and Recovery Iowa: Deliverables included branding packages, websites and multimedia production designed to advance project goals.
  • Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries
    In collaboration with Extension and Engagement's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team, PACE deployed state-wide training for the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries' (BOLI) Apprenticeship division: Based on the DEI team's proprietary "High 5 Teams" approach, the training advances the agency's goals of ensuring apprenticeship-based work environments are welcoming to diverse participants. 
  • Oregon Health and Science University
    In partnership with OHSU’s OCCYSHN team and OSU College of Public Health, PACE built and deployed a new Community Health Worker continuing education course centered on health care for children and youth with special health needs.
  • Oregon Home Care Commission
    As part of a multi-year partnership, PACE developed a new, state-of-the-art online platform for~50,000 essential care workers state-wide. 
  • Oregon Department of Revenue
    Through an ongoing partnership, PACE facilitated instructor-led training series for leadership on employee engagement and remote work best practices; self-paced training for employees of the Corporate Activity Tax training division and updates of existing Tax Auditor training modules.
  • Oregon Health Authority
    Through a partnership led by OSU Student Health Services, PACE developed an online vaccine education module designed to support the return to campus in fall 2021 public higher education institutions state-wide. 
  • SELCO Community Credit Union
    In partnership with the College of Liberal Arts, PACE delivered customized technical writing training for a SELCO loan authorization team. 
  • US Department of Agriculture and US Environmental Protection Agency
    In collaboration with OSU’s Environmental Toxicology, PACE build interactive lectures that instruct non-US governments and agricultural producers in US safety practices related to imported food products.

    New online diversity training for ~15,000 University volunteers (w/Extension and Engagement Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team)
  • Updated/expanded HR critical training for student, faculty and staff employees
    Revised online training for all student, staff and faculty employees (w/OSU Human Resources)
  • Center for the Outdoor Recreation Economy (CORE) multimedia design and strategy 
    Development of updated website with integrated customer relationship management (CRM) platform/practice (w/CORE team)

Extension and Engagement Initiatives

  • COVID Prevention Outreach Social Media Marketing Campaign
    Multimedia campaign using state-of-art targeting to support COVID prevention among vulnerable/underserved populations
  • Post-Pandemic Online Pivot for In-Person Activities
    In the pandemic's wake, PACE leveraged its digital infrastructure to support division's "Virtual Extension" initiative - which included a rapid pivot to online engagement activities (e.g., 4-H Farm to School program for K-12)
  • Marketing and Engagement Accelerator - State-of-the-Art Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
    PACE leveraged its digital infrastructure and skills to accelerate data-driven marketing and outreach for the Extension and Engagement division: Outcomes included a 7x increase in sales of a new-release faculty publication; increases to opt-in email marketing lists to well over 100,000 subscribers; and significant increases in usage of Extension publications/materials overall. 
  • Website and Digital Platform Design for 4-H Teens as Teachers
    PACE provided architecture and design guidance for redevelopment of interactive 4-H site supporting a critical state-wide program.
