Hear from Jessica Breedlove Latham, Project Manager at Adidas North America, and Russell Borne, a manager of the Adidas North America brand design, about how to forge your own career path.

As a 2007 OSU graduate of visual arts, Borne faced an uncertain future of freelancing, side hustles, odd jobs and student loans. The only option was to make his own opportunities.

Now as the manager of North America Brand Design at Adidas, Borne can look back at life’s odd choices and make sense of them.

A life of saying yes got him where he didn’t know he wanted to be, until he got there.

Jessica Breedlove Latham ‘08 received her BFA from Oregon State University and her MA in Museum Studies from Syracuse University ('12). Before her current role as Project Manager at adidas, she was rooted in arts and culture, running several art galleries and working with various non-profits.

 

Russell Borne

Russell Borne ‘07 received his BFA from Oregon State University and MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2014. Upon graduation, Borne went on to pursue a career in design and art direction for various international companies. Most recently, Borne is head of the North America Brand Design studio for adidas AG. Borne's artistic objective is an exploration of micro and macro cultural identity to pause and flip preconceptions of what you are looking at. Borne lives and works in Portland, Oregon.

Yuliya Dennis

Yuliya Dennis is the director of alumni career services at Oregon State University (OSU) Alumni Association and manages and oversees career programs for over 200,000 OSU alumni. OSU alumni career programs offers a diverse suite of programs to support alumni career success.

Yuliya also serves as the Assistant Vice President of Mentor Programs for Alumni Career Services Network (ACSN).  She was the receipt of the 2019 Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Rising Star award for her work in alumni relations. Yuliya received her BA in History, and her M.Ed in College Student Services Administration from OSU. She is eager to share her knowledge of what it takes to career transition successfully. 

Her motto is: Engage in what matters and support others in engaging in what matters to them.
