OSU-permaculture-design-certificate-PERM-TIMES.MARCH-7

The adoption of Permaculture and an ecologically based world view has never been more urgently needed. While many world government leaders behave like children, loss of biodiversity, extinction, deforestation, and the disruption of the water and climate cycles marches on at an increasing pace.

By watching the news you'd think that this is the only story. But here in this newsletter, we are telling a different story. This is the story of hope where we highlight the potential of people to make vast positive changes using permaculture and ecological thinking.

What I witnessed and filmed in India with the Paani Foundation is awe inspiring, and our top story this newsletter is the first video released from that epic ongoing project.

So take heart, get inspired, and be the change you want to see in the world!

SOLVING THE WATER CRISIS IN 45 DAYS
WITH THE PAANI FOUNDATION

Continuing our India journey, we filmed the epic work of the Paani Foundation’s Water Cup Competition.

We toured the village of Garavadi, in Maharashtra, who competed in the 2019 competition to install the most amount of water harvesting structures in a 45 day period.

Guided by Paani Foundation’s chief advisor, Dr. Avinash Pol, we visit the work and see the effects of a watershed-scale groundwater restoration project that has dramatically improved the lives, economy, ecology and stability of this village, all in 45 days!

View the 9-minute video and see how they did it!
