Our Flexible Online Instructional Design Course Covers Assessment and Evaluation Essentials 

 E-Learning Assessment and Evaluation gives you the skills needed to assess and evaluate assignments in an e-learning environment.

Throughout the course, you will explore an e-learning project that requires assessment and discover best practices for implementation. 

Teaching and Training with E-Learning

E-Learning Assessment and Evaluation will help you become certified in teaching and training with E-Learning.

The focus will be on:

  • Alignment of assessments with goals and measurable learning objectives

  • Use of online resources and tools for assessments

  • Generation of feedback to create meaningful learning

  • Application of different types of quality evaluations to maximize the learning results

The goal of this E-Learning Assessment and Evaluation course is for you to plan, create, and apply assessments and evaluations that promote effective results for your eLearning projects.

Course Overview

In this course, you will learn how to: 

  • Articulate concepts, techniques and skills that contribute to successful assessment practices 
  • Identify and design assessment methods and activities that align with learner outcomes 
  • Differentiate and utilize both quantitative and qualitative methods of assessment 
  • Compare and contrast methods of feedback 
  • Identify methods to evaluate and measure accomplishment of e-learning objectives, project criteria and/or program goals 
  • Make recommendations for improvements 

 Time Commitment: Plan for 3-6 hours of work per week. 

Instructional Design Certificate

This course is a part of the E-Learning Instructional Design and Development Certificate, which includes:

If you are new to instructional design, it is strongly recommended that you take the courses in sequence, although it is not required. You must complete all other courses before beginning the E-Learning Practicum. To earn the certificate, all courses must be completed with a grade of C or higher, or a pass.
